HydroRad-1 Single-channel Radiometer System

The HydroRad-1's light collector is mounted on a fiber optic cable whose length you specify.  The fiber optic cable lets you locate and orient the collector in the way that best suits your measurement requirements--and lets you change it easily for different situations.  Like all HydroRad models, it is a completely self-contained measurement system with sophisticated data logging and interfacing capabilities.


  • One light collector of the type you choose:
  • Calibrated Wavelength Range: 350 nm to 850 nm
  • Pixel Resolution: 0.30 to 0.35nm
  • Automatic exposure control: spectrometer integration time from 21 ms to 20 seconds, depending on light levels.
  • Shipped fully calibrated for absolute radiometric measurements.

Data Logging

  • Sampling control options:
    • Autonomous control by internal real-time clock
    • Manual control by case-mounted switch
    • Real-time control via Windows software
  • 128 MB non-volatile storage holds more than 20,000 full-resolution spectra (larger capacities available for special applications). 
  • Calibration can be applied to data by the HydroRad, or externally on a PC.
  • Variable, programmable sampling rates.
