HydroRad-ES1 Single-channel Radiometer with Anti-fouling Shutter

Ideal for long-term deployments, the HydroRad-ES1 includes a copper shutter that automatically protects the light collector from bio-fouling.  Typically used to measure downwelling solar irradiance, it can also be used to measure irradiance or radiance in any orientation or location.  Like all HydroRad models, it is a complete measurement system with sophisticated data logging and interfacing capabilities.

  • Pixel Resolution: 0.30 to 0.35nm
  • Automatic exposure control: spectrometer integration time from 21 ms to 20 seconds, depending on light levels.
  • Shipped fully calibrated for absolute radiometric measurements.

Data Logging
  • Sampling control options:
    • Autonomous control by internal real-time clock
    • Manual control by case-mounted switch
    • Real-time control via Windows software
  • 128 MB non-volatile storage holds more than 20,000 full-resolution spectra (larger capacities available for special applications). 
  • Calibration can be applied to data by the HydroRad, or externally on a PC.
  • Variable, programmable sampling rates.
